Blowfly from the Rhiniinae subfamily. In this photo the wings are held on top of each other along the length of the body. Not sure if this is a characteristic pose of the species.

BLOWFLY FACTS

Identification The head and thorax of this blowfly are blue mottled with black. The abdomen is banded black and creamy colour, with some mottling. The mouthparts are quite prominent.
