INSECT FACTS

Identification
The Humped-backed Beetle shown here is dark purplish brown with lighter brown markings that get denser towards the head and rear. It appear to have its head tucked in under the thorax when at rest.

Habitat
found around flowers, although I've only ever seen one around the house lights at night

Breeding
Humped-backed beetle larvae are parasitoids - they feed on larvae of wasps
