About

For the last few years I’ve been running an Australian Wildlife site. The OzWildlife site started as a small Geocities site in 2000. In 2006 the current OzAnimals Australian Wildlife site was launched, and now features photographs of hundreds of species of Australian animals. Some of the photographs have stories behind them and this Blog gives an opportunity to ramble on about these behind the scenes snippets.

This Blog part of the site is not just about animals, though - the scope covers anything to do with nature including plants, weather, stars etc.

Who Should Read it?

This Blog is aimed at anyone with a love of nature and/or an interest taking photos of nature. The kind of stuff you will find here includes:

  • latest news on what has been added to the main OzAnimals site
  • “behind the scenes” stories on some of the animals on the site
  • tips for photographing nature - what worked and what didn’t work for me
  • discussion on photography equipment - bought and home made
  • some opinions about software
  • general comments on anything to do with nature or photography

Currently I’m using Pentax SLR camera and Canon point and shoot. The site featues photos taken with both of these.

So whether you have been to the main OzAnimals.com site or not, hopefully you will find something here that grabs you.

Regards
