GREEN BLOTCHED MOTH FACTS

Identification
The moth is brown with a wavy green pattern on the forewings. It has a tuft of hairs on the head. It rests with its wings held in a steep roof shape Caterpillars are smooth and green.

Size
wingspan to 4cm. caterpillar length about 3 cm.

Food
Caterpillars feed on Lobelia and Verbena

Breeding
pupates in a thin cocoon under the soil.

Range
Found throughout most of Australia.
