SOLDIER FLY FACTS

Identification
This Soldier Fly is brightly coloured with green thorax and yellow abdomen with bronze pattern down the back. The eyes are large and meet in the centre. It rests with wings folded on top of each other along the abdomen.

Adults feed on nectar. Larvae feed on algae or decaying organic matter.
