TOAD BUG FACTS

Identification
Toad Bugs are short stocky bugs with protruding eyes. They are usually dark coloured with a warty appearance and move with waddling steps and short hops. The forelegs are modified into a claw-like shape for catching prey.

usually found at the margins of streams and ponds.

predators of small insects caught by jumping on top of them and grasping them with their modified front legs
